Cremation Can Bring Families Together

February 11, 2019 • Teri Vila-Caballero

There are many families that are spread apart in today’s society. While you might live in Florida, some of your family lives way up north, to the west, or even in another country entirely. When someone in the family gets married, the weddings are planned months (if not a year) in advance. That gives everyone time to travel to the right location and enjoy the time together in celebration. When someone passes on, however, there’s not a year to plan. Something has to be done right away. If your family decides to go with cremation in South Miami, FL, it can bring the family together again. Here’s how:

Allowing Time For Travel

While there isn’t time to mess around with plans when you go with a traditional funeral and burial, there’s all the time you want or need if you go with cremation. You can have a service right away, if you want, or you can wait for weeks, months, or however long it takes to get everyone together. Your family has time on their side so they can all get together to celebrate a life well lived.

Giving Location Flexibility

Just because your loved one lived in Florida doesn’t mean you have to have the memorial service in that region. You can have them cremated and then take the ashes anywhere you’d like. If your family wants a central location for everyone to meet, take them to Chicago or another city in central America so no one has to travel as far. Your loved one will be pleased the family made an effort to be together for the momentous event.

Options For Memorials

Cremation also allows families options in terms of memorials and services. If some of your family wants to do a memorial service, they can do so. Others can participate in an ash scattering ceremony. There are also memorial options that can be lasting. Someone can put a park bench in their town with your loved one’s name on it while someone else can take some of the cremated ashes and put them in a small jewelry urn that they can wear. There are plenty of options and no limits. These options often let everyone in a family get what they want to remember your loved one in all of the right ways. That’s a great way to bring a family together instead of creating contention during an already rough time,

You want your family together for the good times, but you also need them around you during the trying moments. When a loved one passes on, use South Miami, FL cremation to bring your family together in as many ways as possible.
